Santos David Canizales, a 23-year-old resident of Chelsea, Massachusetts, was fatally shot on the night of October 8, 2023. The incident occurred at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Shurtleff Street in Chelsea. At approximately 10:30 p.m., first responders found Canizales on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken by emergency medical services to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he was pronounced dead.
