On Friday, April 26, 2024, Sterling Baptiste Jr., a 14-year-old resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, was fatally shot in the Belmont neighborhood of the city. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. when Worcester Police officers were dispatched to an address on Belmont Street for a report of a possible shooting victim.
