On the evening of March 16, 2023, South Bend, Indiana, experienced a tragic loss when 15-year-old African American male, Donnie Dior Gray Jr., was fatally shot at the Prairie Apartments complex on Prairie Avenue. Responding officers from the South Bend Police Department discovered the teenager with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
