In the early morning hours of March 22, 2024, the quiet community of Nappanee, Indiana, was disturbed by a domestic tragedy that resulted in the death of 71-year-old Johnnie Tener. A male resident of the area, Mr. Tener was found deceased in a reclining chair in his home from a gunshot wound to the head. The events leading to this discovery began to unfold when his wife, Linda Tener, 70, appeared at their son's nearby home.
Linda Tener arrived on her son's doorstep holding a gun and made
a startling confession, stating, 'your dad is dead, I shot him.' Her son was able to disarm her and restrain her until law enforcement arrived. Upon their arrival, officers from the Nappanee Police Department took Linda Tener into custody and recovered a pink revolver at the scene. This led them to the couple's residence, where they discovered Mr. Tener's body.
