On December 14, 2012, 22-year-old Patrice Lamar Sherman, also known as "Boogie," was shot and killed in Jacksonville, Florida. The circumstances of Sherman's death remained unsolved for several years, causing deep pain for his family and community. It was reported that Sherman was found deceased due to a gunshot wound, but the lack of immediate evidence and witnesses initially led to challenges in progressing with the investigation.
