On April 17, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred at an apartment complex in Scottsburg, Indiana, resulting in the death of 49-year-old Edward Milam Calton. The incident took place at 2929 E. SR 56, where Scott County Deputies were called to a reported shooting around 1 am. Upon arrival, deputies found that an argument between two male residents had escalated, leading to one man shooting the other with a handgun.
