On January 1, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Orland Park, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of two men, Jonathan Paska and Michael Lafrey. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, specifically around 1:20 a.m., at a residence in the 8500 block of 145th Place.

Jonathan Paska, 37, was found dead at the scene, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner.
