On December 12, 2007, seven-year-old Joey Bochicchio and her mother, Nancy Bochicchio, were found dead in their SUV in the parking lot of the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton, Florida. The two were bound with plastic ties and shot at close range. The tragedy occurred shortly after they had finished some Christmas shopping at the mall.
