On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the 4200 block of Barberry Lane in Zion, Illinois. Police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to a report of a person shot outside an apartment building at approximately 7:31 p.m..

Upon arrival, they found a 20-year-old male victim, later identified as Willie Wright Jr. of North Chicago, with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with Advanced Life Support, where he was pronounced decease ...
