On the night of December 5, 2013, David Christopher Harris, a 24-year-old African-American male, was fatally shot in Tampa, Florida. Shortly before midnight, Harris called 911 from 4215 East Columbus Drive to report that he had been shot. Simultaneously, Tampa Police received reports of gunfire near his residence at 3810 East Lindell Avenue. Upon arrival at the Columbus Drive location, officers found Harris critically injured.
