David Barwick, age 33, was tragically shot and killed on June 14, 2014, after spending the night with his brother James at Judy's Pub in Jacksonville, Florida. The brothers left the bar in the early morning hours to walk home. A mile into their journey, David was shot multiple times. James tried to comfort his brother while waiting for emergency responders, but David passed away in his arms.
David was remembered as a loving father to two young boys, a kind brother, and a person always willing to help others. Despite ongoing appeals for information, David's murder remains unsolved, leaving his family desperate for answers. His sister, Melissa, has actively sought justice, emphasizing the need for closure, especially for their ailing father. Each year, David’s family remembers him through small commemorations, hoping for justice in what has become a long-standing and painful cold case. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office still seeks any information that could solve David's tragic death.
