On May 20, 2023, 53-year-old Dawn Marie Newbauer was tragically killed on St. Simons Island, Georgia. She was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the parking lot of the Retreat Village Shopping Plaza, near Nazzaro's restaurant where she worked. Authorities arrested 50-year-old Ricky Ricardo Easterling in connection with her death.
