On June 16, 2023, a fatal incident occurred at the Pilot Travel Center in Madison, Georgia, resulting in the death of Taylor Dickens, a 32-year-old man from McDonough, GA.
The incident began as a physical altercation between Taylor Dickens and Charles Corbitt, a 28-year-old man from Augusta, Georgia. According to preliminary information, the fight took place between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. During the altercation, Corbitt grabbed his firearm and shot Dickens.
