In a tragic turn of events on a Tuesday evening in Barnesville, Georgia, 33-year-old Yasmin Wright, a Black female, lost her life in a fatal shooting. The incident, which occurred on June 20, 2023, also left a man and another woman injured. The violence unfolded on Carey J. Buckner Street when a shooter opened fire from a vehicle. Ms. Wright was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
