In the summer of 2023, the life of Travis Ron Arnold, a 35-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in his hometown of Reidsville, Georgia. On the evening of June 29th, a dispute at a residence on Goonsbay Circle escalated into a fatal encounter. During the altercation, Travis Arnold was shot and died at the scene.
The alleged shooter, identified as 20-year-old Chase Craft, also from Reidsville, fled the location after the incident.
This prompted a search by law enforcement, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a warrant for his arrest. The charges against Craft included felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
After nearly three weeks on the run, Chase Craft was apprehended on July 19, 2023. Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested him at an apartment complex in Statesboro, Georgia. Following his capture, Craft was booked into the Tattnall County Jail. The case is now set to be handed over to the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
