On August 28, 2023, Sha’Darrian Jacobs, a 33-year-old security guard, was fatally shot while on his lunch break at a parking deck located at 725 Spring Street NW in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred around 2:05 a.m. when Jacobs attempted to intervene in a car break-in involving a group of suspects.
