Do you know who murdered Cindy Elrod? Caucasian / White female Cynthia “Cindy” D. Elrod, age 20, was discovered dead on the afternoon of August 23, 1983, in her home at the Kodzoff Trailer Park in Juneau's Mendenhall Valley. Alaska State Troopers were called around 1:30 p.m., and found her body in the bathroom; the cause of death was determined to be strangulation. The following day local histories recorded the case as a murder in the Kodzoff Acres trailer, a killing that would come to haunt Juneau for decades.
