In the early morning hours of November 6, 2023, a young man's life was cut short in the parking lot of a southwest Atlanta apartment complex. Nineteen-year-old Tavares Boyd, a male, was found by Atlanta police officers around 12:15 a.m. at the Columbia at Capitol View apartments on University Avenue. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
