On November 21, 2023, Vennessa Lynn Phillips, a 35-year-old woman, was fatally shot in Sharpsburg, Georgia. The incident occurred at a home in the 100 block of Halo Trace, where Vennessa had taken her four-year-old daughter to visit her estranged husband, Dustin Phillips, who was staying at his uncle’s house.
