On January 5, 2024, a 911 call was received by the Forsyth Police Department around 9:00 a.m. regarding an unknown person found dead inside a home. The incident occurred at a residence on Pinkney Circle, just outside of the downtown square in Forsyth, Georgia. Upon responding to the call, Forsyth Police officers discovered the body of 21-year-old Rashid Khalid Ivey, a resident of Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. Ivey was found to have died from a gunshot wound.
