Michael D. Priest, a 24-year-old white male, was tragically murdered on May 8, 1975, in Forsyth County, Georgia. His death was the result of a single gunshot wound to the head, inflicted while he was begging for his life. The perpetrator, Jack Howard Potts, kidnapped Michael Priest in Cobb County before taking him to Forsyth County, where the murder occurred.
