On April 14, 2024, 25-year-old Raheem Poole of Homerville, Georgia, was found dead from suspected gunshot wounds near the intersection of Happyville Lane and Old Fargo Road. The Homerville Police Department received a 911 call at about 11:50 a.m. regarding the shooting, prompting an immediate response from officers who discovered Poole's body at the scene.
