In the small town of Hahira, Georgia, a life was tragically cut short on the evening of September 14, 2024. Derrick DeRon Paul Jr., a 33-year-old Black male, was fatally shot at a residence on East Lawson Street. The incident, which shattered the quiet of the neighborhood, occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m., prompting a swift response from local emergency services. The investigation into the death of Derrick Paul Jr. quickly led to the identification of a suspect. Erick Noltion, also a resident of Hahira, was taken into custody shortly after the shooting.
