On October 4, 2015, 73-year-old Omelio Ofijeni was shot and killed in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood. The incident took place early on a Sunday morning, and Ofijeni was found dead near a residential area. According to reports, Ofijeni was targeted while walking in the vicinity, but the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
