On Sunday, March 5, 2023, a shooting incident occurred in the area of Fern Street in unincorporated Cocoa, Florida, resulting in the death of 33-year-old Michael Laskey. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at approximately 1:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
