On July 11, 2023, 18-year-old Jacob Alexander Zamora was fatally shot in the area of Northwest 167th Street and Northwest 17th Avenue in Miami Gardens, Florida. The incident occurred when Zamora, who was skateboarding, either grabbed or tapped the rear of a vehicle as he passed by. Surveillance video showed that Zamora then crossed in front of the car, and the driver, identified as Rashad Bernard White, 34, swerved his vehicle toward the victim.
