On September 9, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Southwest Miami-Dade, resulting in the deaths of two brothers, Alexis Martinez Marquez, 19, and Osvaldo Martinez Marquez, 16. The Miami-Dade Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at 10214 SW 175th Street, arriving to find the two young men dead with apparent gunshot wounds. The calls reporting the shooting came in around 5:22 p.m.
