On September 25, 2023, a double shooting occurred at a shopping plaza in Lauderhill, Florida, resulting in the death of Selwyn White Jr., a 30-year-old man. The incident happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. at 1257 NW 31st Ave, where police were called to respond to a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Selwyn White Jr. was pronounced dead, while the second man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and taken to a local hospital. The ...
