On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, a shooting incident occurred in the Lockhart area of Orange County, Florida. Orange County deputies responded to the 2800 block of Sudman Way around 2:23 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found five individuals with gunshot wounds: four men and a 25-year-old woman named Stephanie Diane Cortes, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
