On March 1, 2024, 18-year-old Reginald Fields was fatally shot in Bradenton, Florida. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of 5th Street East around 6:30 p.m. Fields was inside a parked car with other individuals when a handgun discharged.

According to witnesses, the shooting happened while the group was in the vehicle. By the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, Fields had already been taken to a local hospital. He succumbed to his injuries shortly before 7 p.m.
