George Guerrero, a 44-year-old truck driver, was tragically killed in a road rage incident on May 7, 2016, while driving on I-10 in Jacksonville, Florida. Guerrero, who was originally from New Jersey, had been on the road for several months, transporting loads between Florida and Georgia. The incident occurred in a construction zone when Guerrero allegedly cut off another truck, leading to an altercation.
The suspect pulled alongside Guerrero's truck and fired multiple shots, including one to the head, causing his truck to veer off the road. Despite efforts to locate the suspect, including releasing information about the truck—a dull orange Freightliner—the shooter remains at large. Authorities are offering a $3,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest. Guerrero's death left behind his son and his dog, Aria, who were eventually reunited in the aftermath of this tragic event.
