On May 12, 2024, Levil Smith, a 37-year-old resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, was fatally shot. The incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. in the area of North 24th Street and Canal Terrace. According to investigators, Smith was approached by an unknown person and suffered a gunshot wound.

Smith was immediately taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital by St. Lucie County Fire Rescue, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Fort Pierce Police Department is currently investigating t ...
