On July 3, 2024, Daniel Cain Jr., a 52-year-old resident of Palm Bay, Florida, was fatally shot by his son, Brandon Michael Cain, 23. The incident occurred at the Cain family home located on Danbury St. SW in Palm Bay. Brandon Cain called 911 and reported the shooting, initially claiming that he had acted in self-defense during a domestic argument with his father.
