On October 3, 2024, Alec Mathew Hugh-Sam, a 36-year-old man, was fatally shot at the Avalon Miramar Park Place apartment complex in Miramar, Florida. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 7 a.m., when a single shot was heard by residents of the complex.
