In the early hours of July 5, 2024, the life of a 23-year-old Black female, Shamyria Williams, was tragically cut short in Hartford, Connecticut. She and a male companion, also in his 20s, found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, caught in a violent exchange that had nothing to do with them.
