On July 5, 2024, 23-year-old Shamyria Williams of Hartford, Connecticut, was fatally shot in the early morning hours on Cleveland Avenue. The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. when Hartford police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two victims, Williams and a male in his 20s, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
