In the late summer evening of September 9, 2024, the life of 27-year-old Krystal Kae Alston, a Black female, was tragically cut short on a street in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Just after 8 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire on Seaview Avenue and discovered Alston deceased in the road, a victim of what would be investigated as a domestic violence homicide. An autopsy later confirmed she died from gunshot wounds to her head and torso.
