Tyson James Robert Bratcher, a 37-year-old male, died on March 4, 2023, in Grand Junction, Colorado, following a confrontation during what law enforcement has described as an attempted robbery. Bratcher was one of four individuals allegedly involved in an attempt to rob a man and a woman. During the course of this incident, one of the intended victims discharged a firearm, striking and killing Bratcher.
