Randall Moon, a 53-year-old man, was fatally shot on December 20, 2023, in the southern part of La Plata County, Colorado, south of Durango. The incident occurred at a residence located at 719 Rancho Durango Road off La Posta Road (County Road 213) in the High Flume Canyon area. The shooting was reported to law enforcement at 1:19 p.m..
