On January 13, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Phippsburg, Colorado, resulting in the deaths of two young sisters, Jessi and Summer Hill, along with their father, James "Jake" Hill. The Routt County Sheriff's Office conducted a welfare check at a residence in the 21000 block of 4th Avenue, where they found the bodies of James Hill, 45, and his daughters, Jessi, 7, and Summer, 3.
