Vidal Vigil, a 24-year-old male, was killed in a shooting on August 26, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The incident unfolded after an altercation in the parking lot of a Days Inn near Garden of the Gods Road. Vigil was with his girlfriend, Jayda Salazar, and another passenger, Pablo Martinez, in his 1973 Chevrolet Silverado truck. An argument broke out between Martinez and a man identified as Michael Gilliam, which escalated to both men throwing rocks at each other.
