On November 13, 2016, Xacia Burnem, an 18-year-old pregnant woman, was shot and killed in a mass shooting in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred in the Moncrief area, where Xacia, along with two others—22-year-old Kadejah Williams and her 11-month-old son Tedashi Williams—was targeted while inside a vehicle. Jacksonville police later identified David Anderson, a 21-year-old acquaintance, as a person of interest.
He was held on bail, but no formal charges related to the murder were immediately filed. The investigation remains open.
