On May 28, 2024, Alana Holmes, a 31-year-old woman, was found dead in a residence located at 2655 Sand Road in Rockport, Arkansas, which is approximately 3 miles north of Malvern in Hot Spring County.

The discovery was made by Rockport police officers who responded to a call around 5:30 p.m. regarding a possible homicide. Upon arrival, they found the bodies of Alana Holmes and Shelby Montgomery, a 53-year-old man.
