On December 30, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred outside the Brickgate at Fireclay apartment complex in Murray, Utah, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including 18-year-old Laka Girah.

The incident began as an argument over a parking stall when Mojtaba Ahmadi confronted Laka Girah about parking a black Infiniti in what Ahmadi claimed was his assigned parking space.
