A quiet Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City was shattered by violence on March 3, 2024, leaving 61-year-old Hay Ly, an Asian male, dead in a workplace shooting. The incident unfolded at Varex Imaging, a medical device manufacturer located at 1678 South Pioneer Road. Salt Lake City police responded to a call of a man with a gun at the business at approximately 2:33 p.m.
