In the summer of 2022, a 52-year-old father of two named Gregory "Greg" Treace vanished from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, leaving his family with unanswered questions. On the evening of July 23rd, Gregory, who was battling stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, left his Tulsa home for a fishing trip with his brother and his brother's girlfriend. Their vehicle broke down in Jenks, and the following morning, July 24, 2022, they received a ride to their mother's rural property west of Sapulpa. This would be the last time Gregory was reportedly seen. His brother claimed Gregory was last observed walking on a trail on the property. Four days later, Gregory was officially reported as a missing person to the Creek County Sheriff's Office. At the time of his disappearance, he was 6'3" tall, weighed 225 pounds, and had thinning gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black "Okie Wonderland" shirt and boxers. The initial investigation into Gregory's disappearance yielded few clues. Authorities conducted extensive searches of the area where he was last seen, utilizing K9 units and drones to cover 30 to 40 acres of his mother's property, but their efforts were unsuccessful. A few of his personal belongings, including his Nike shoes and jean shorts, were discovered on a bench near the house, adding to the mystery of his whereabouts. His wallet, phone, keys, and a prescription bottle of his medication were missing. The circumstances became more perplexing due to conflicting accounts of the events leading up to his disappearance. His brother's story reportedly changed, raising suspicions among family members. According to one account, a friend who dropped Gregory and his brother off at their mother's property witnessed the brother yelling at Gregory in anger. Despite the passage of time, the search for answers in Gregory Treace's case continues. His family, particularly his wife, Billie, has been relentless in their efforts to find him and bring closure to their ordeal. The investigation has been hampered by a lack of evidence and credible leads. Investigators interviewed family members, including Gregory's brother, but no charges have been filed in connection with his disappearance. His brother, who has a history of drug abuse, was later incarcerated on unrelated charges. The case is an active missing person investigation, and authorities urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact the Creek County Sheriff's Office. The family remains hopeful that someone will come forward with the key piece of information that will finally reveal what happened to Gregory Treace.
