On a summer morning in Ottumwa, Iowa, the life of Brian Eric Rainey, a 39-year-old White / Caucasian male, was tragically cut short. On August 11, 2020, at approximately 7:20 a.m., emergency services were dispatched to the 700 block of Edwards Drive following a report of an accidental shooting. The victim was identified as Rainey, a resident of nearby Tracy, Iowa. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his torso.
