In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a Phoenix family gathering ended in tragedy with the death of 15-year-old Daniela MacKenzy Espinosa. On the night of January 14, 2024, Daniela was at her home near 7th Avenue and Broadway Road with family and friends. The atmosphere of camaraderie was shattered when a 17-year-old male, described as a close family friend who had been living at the house intermittently, began handling a firearm.
