On June 23, 2024, Adam Christopher Avalos, a 31-year-old resident of Safford, Arizona, was fatally shot in the Copper Springs RV Park located at 326 S. 8th Ave. The incident occurred in the evening, with police being dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:37 p.m. following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Avalos deceased in the parking area of the residence.
