The victim of a shooting that occurred Feb. 29 near Snowflake has been identified as Darrell Richey, 56, of Snowflake.
According to the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office, Richey went to 40-year-old Gabriel Barnes’ residence at 9801 Juniper Berry Trail, where the men engaged in a gunfight. Richey sustained gunshots to the torso of his body and died from his wounds at the scene.
