In the quiet retirement community of Sun City West, Arizona, the lives of 84-year-old Laverna Reid and her 87-year-old husband, Jack Reid, came to a tragic end on September 10, 2016. Concerned for their well-being, a relative reached out to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office to request a welfare check on the couple. Responding deputies made a grim discovery upon entering their home, finding both Laverna and Jack deceased.
